When a video card says its interface is agp 4x/8x, will it work with a motherboard which says only agp 8x?

i have an asus pfs800d-x motherboard which has a agp 8x video interface. i'm trying to buy a new video card and was wondering if a video card that says 4x/8x (specifically, SAPPHIRE 100198L Radeon X1650 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 AGP 4X/8X Video Card) will be compatible with my motherboard.|||Yo, since your motherboard says 8x then it can only take 8x cards. But, your graphics card will work because the 8x/4x means that it can operate at these two speeds.|||Yes.|||yes it can switch between a max 8x and min 4x.|||that means it'll fit a 4x or 8x agp slot, so the answer is yes
